PDMH Consultancy will only provide teaching and training on areas in which consultants have direct professional knowledge and experience. Thus clients can be assured that the training will be practically based and derived from real experience of the area of work involved.
The consultants have experience of working with, and also of managing, services in both hospital and prison settings. Their experience covers direct experience of community services, including community teams and involvement in MAPPA; open, low and medium secure wards and hospitals; working with offenders in hostels and / or on probation; court diversion schemes; prison in-reach projects and managing and providing a mental health service within a high secure prison. Three of the consultants also have experience of working with adolescents and all have developed and managed services.
Therefore, the teaching and training we offer covers all aspects of working in services including providing safe services, assessment and treatment of patients, supervision of staff etc.
