All PDMH Consultants have considerable expertise in designing and implementing clinical programmes for a broad range of clients across the full range of settings including medium and low secure health settings as well as community and prison based services. In many of these services, there was previously no treatment programme established and a culture that was considered ‘counter-therapeutic’.
Our consultants are particularly experienced in designing services for people with complex mental health needs (whom many organisations have found it difficult to make their services accessible to) and were, amongst other achievements, responsible for the development of a high profile treatment programme for men who are identified as ‘psychopathic’ and ‘difficult to provide treatment to’ within the UK’s criminal justice system at HMP Whitemoor (see www.dspdprogramme.gov.uk). The wide range of expertise accrued by our consultants enables us to develop and implement treatment programmes that meet an organisation’s unique requirements whilst being mindful of fiscal restraints and other resource considerations.
