About PDMH Consultancy

PDMH Consultancy was established to meet an increasing need for high quality clinical services to be provided despite the continued pressure of fiscal restraint by improving efficiency and treatment efficacy within existing services.  We pride ourselves on our ability to ensure every organisation gets an individualised service by tailoring our interventions to the needs of each unique service.

A major strength of PDMH Consultancy is that our consultants have direct clinical and managerial experience of a wide range of services within the NHS, the criminal justice system and both the private and third sectors.  This experience ranges from community-based drug and alcohol and mental health services through to providing clinical care and psychological treatment in low, medium and high secure (hospital and prison) settings for adolescents and adults with complex mental health problems including personality disorder, mental illness and learning disabilities.  Our consultants have been heavily involved in the design and implementation of the national programme for dangerous people with severe personality disorder; a joint initiative between the NHS, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Justice and Prison Service (www.dspdprogramme.gov.uk)  and designed and implemented the treatment programme at situ in HMP Whitemoor for men who are identified as psychopathic and have previously found it difficult to access appropriate treatment.

All PDMH Consultants are healthcare professionals with experience of designing and delivering treatment within services that have required a major cultural shift to support therapeutic interventions and improve team functioning.  Change management has often been supported by the provision of teaching, training and supervision to these services as well as the development of more appropriate policies and working practices.

Our clients can be assured that PDMH Consultancy will provide an innovative service whilst ensuring the highest standards of integrity and professionalism are brought to every project.
